BAD KARMA BRO...
The most current post on the cell phone laws in New York has basically came back to bite me in the butt. I am driving down Interstate 90 today on my way to Rochester, at quite a rapid rate I might add, and what do u know? I get pulled over! Yes I was guilty, but I can't go for a second and think that I didn't get pulled over for the pure reason of writing the previous blog about Police talking on their cells phones. God has a good sense of humor, and I received the repercussions of my blogging...Best Regards

Cell Phones, who needs them?
I was discussing the fact today, that the cell phone law in New York is not effective. For those of you who do not know this law, or for those of you who ignore any laws, here you go. In New York, when one is traveling in a motor vehicle, they are required to use a hands free headset while talking on their cell phone. Supposedly this law was implemented to reduced the amount of wrecking, out of control, and just plain bad drivers in New York. The consequences of not abiding by this law result in a 50-100 dollar fine. The reality is that most people ignore this law, and just chuck their phone on the floor of their car when the see a cop drive by, therefore almost causing an accident when the driver ventures their hand under their car seat, in order to retrieve their now demolished phone. The point of this blog?...New York is trying to include in this law, the ability to text on your phone. Text messaging on your phone is the new thing, for those people who cannot or chose not to talk on the phone; this is partly due to their lack of communication skills and some people are lazy. Basically texting is for adults like AOL Instant Messager is or used to be for teens.
Cell phones were originally designed for cases, such as driving in your car, and now they are becoming useless, unless you are just wondering around outside. Lets be honest most people love cell phones, they want to use them freely, and surely they will continue to do so until, those vintage car phones come back in style. Isn't it funny how many police man drive past you, and just as you are throwing your phone down, you realize that the Cop was actually chatting away on his phone, like normal. Very bothersome, yet very comical....

mmmmmm chocolate...
NEW YORK -- World renowned artist Cosimo Cavallaro unveils his latest and most striking installation at the Lab Gallery (at the Roger Smith Hotel, 47th and Lexington avenue) in the early morning hours of April 1st. Cavallaro's work, entitled "My Sweet Lord" is a 6 foot tall, anatomically correct sculpture of Jesus Christ in milk chocolate. "I'm truly thrilled to be working with Cosimo again," says Matt Semler Creative Director of the Lab. "The sign of any great artist is how their work affects the observer. His art always gets a reaction, but this is the most dramatic piece of his career. It is absolutely amazing." The exhibit can be viewed from the street when the velvet curtains of the gallery open from midnight to 1 AM and 6 PM to 7PM (starting April 1st and closing April 7th).
Its a six foot Chocolate Jesus! I thought I had seen it all! An artist made a sculpture of Jesus out of chocolate, in the spirit of the easter season, literally. Ha Ha. Check out the following article.

Although Cavallaro has work in permanent collections of museums world-wide, he is best remembered for covering a New York City hotel room in melted cheese (1999).

OUTLET EXTRAVAGANZA
There are dozens and possibly even hundreds of Outlet shopping malls across the nation. The concept in itself on the surface seems like a pretty good idea. One can go to an outlet mall and receive a discount or a so called "factory price" on products from mainstream stores. Coach, Bose, J. Crew, Nike, Mikasa, Puma, Polo Ralph Lauren and Reebok are just a few of the stores that can be found in these shopping malls. The other day the decision was made to visit one of these plaza's while on my commute back from a business trip. The Outlet's billboards and the perfect view of the plaza from the interstate had been luring me in for weeks. I broke down and decided to check it out. I wanted to pick up something nice from either Coach (disclaimer: this would be for my future bride) , J. crew, or Banana Republic. I started looking in the Coach store. As soon as I entered the store, I knew I would be wasting my time in the entire plaza. The Coach store is world renowned for its overpriced yet stylish purses. I was expecting a garage sale price on a 5th avenue purse. This was my mentality going into the Outlet mall plaza. The Coach store in this plaza discounted probably 10%. Basically you would be paying $200 for a purse that was from 2005 and has been sitting in the factory for those 2 years. Disappointment to say the least. I continued on my journey through the plaza next stopping at Banana Republic, Nike, and J. Crew. All a waste of time. The moral of this blog, is that you should not waste your time in these outlets. Most of the stores are near the same price as they are in the regular shopping malls. To me, I could care less about saving 10% on an old purse that my Fiance wouldn't even want. The Outlet malls across America should be shut down, they are a waste of time and one can find themselves buying things in these plaza's that they don't even want because it is on sale and you are in a outlet mall. Its all mental! If you go in with the attitude of finding something new, high quality and cheap: You won't. You will however find similar prices to regular malls and will be very disappointed that you decided to leave the interstate, pay your toll, drive 3 miles out of your way on an old country road and find absolutely nothing. BEST REGARDS

Check out this phenomenal church that is set apart in the most non-churched area of the United States. This church leverages technology, is one of the fastest growing churches in the nation, and just went multi-site. Here is the link: Northway Church
